A77 預計搭載新款 16-50mm 且為恆定光圈的 Kit 鏡頭，如果堅決不用索尼的全片幅相機，這個鏡頭很吸引，畫質應該會比現在的 DT 18-55 好，而且會用上 SSM 吧？感光元件將採用 2400萬畫素，跟現在的全片幅相機一樣了！可錄製 1080p/30fps、720p/60fps 或 720p/30fps 的動態影片，解像力沒有進步，索尼還是擔心會威脅到她的動態攝影機啊，還有過熱問題不知解決了沒有？
對焦系統方面將採用更快並可自動微調的設計，意味著 A77 的對焦速度比已經很快的 A55 更快，連拍能力超過 15 fps，對焦點超過 11 點？機身背後顯示螢幕則將採用300萬畫素的 OLED 面板（意味著 A77 可拍 2K 甚至 4K movie?)！回家放上普通屏幕看可能會失望啊，不過顯示螢幕似乎將不會採用可掀式的設計，對於拍鳥有點不方便。
至於 NEX-7 方面則同樣採用 2400 萬畫素的感光元件，同樣可對應錄製 1080p/30fps、720p/60 fps 或 720p/30 fps 的動態影片，機身顯示螢幕也可能是採用300萬畫素的 OLED 面板，並且新增更多的手動設定功能。NEX-7 正式發表時間估計同樣是在 7 月中旬，上市時程則可能會安排在 9 月，包含 Ki t鏡頭的售價可能為美金 1300 元。其實 Nex-5 用來配舊式手動鏡頭已經很夠用，不過更高解像度的屏幕對於手動對焦來說肯定會更有幫助。

A trusted source confirmed the Sony A77 will be announced on July 7 (as some reader noticed that’s not a casual date 7/7 for the A77). It will be priced at $1099 including the kit lens! - New kit lens (A Sony 16-50mm zoom. Compared to the Zeiss 16-80mm f/3.5-4.5 it will have a constant aperture and probably have a bit higher price.
- 24 Megapixels sensor (The combination of the new sensor+new Zeiss lens delivers 62% more resolution than the A55 16 Megapixel sensor.)
- Video 1080p/30fps, 720p/60fps and 720p/30fps high-definition video AF fine-tuning capabilities.
- A source told us that it has an improved focusing system (quite fast and accurate).
- 3 Million dot OLED viewfinder (more than double of the resolution fo the current Sony A55/33 viewfinder.)
